      Interesting question!

The food a mother eats is digested and the energy and nutrients are absorbed into her bloodstream. These are then shared with the baby through the placenta, along with the oxygen the baby also needs! So it doesn’t matter how much the mother eats, she’s always sharing a proportion of it with her baby!
