We often interpret intelligence as how good animals are at understanding commands and learning how to solve puzzles.

Parrots and corvids (which are crows, ravens and similar birds) are usually thought to be the best at these problem-solving tasks – and the African grey parrot is often said to be one of the most intelligent.
