  I’ve worked with lots of birds during my PhD, but I’ve also worked with beetles, wasps, bees and mice!
  
  My favourite animal that I have worked with is the Fischer’s lovebirds, they are beautiful birds and are really fast learners when it comes to flying!
  
  The most dangerous animal I have worked with (apart from other humans) is probably scorpions. We have some American desert scorpions in the lab and even had one escape last year, that was a scary experience!
