      Technically, no you don’t!

      The stomach holds the food and helps to break it down using enzymes, then sends it down into the intestines where the nutrients are extracted, but it isn’t essential for the digestion process.

      Some people that have had stomach cancer can have their stomach removed, and they have their intestines attached to their oesophagus (the tube that takes food down from your mouth). They might have to eat differently afterwards, but they can certainly live without their stomach.
