      I’d never even thought about this before!

      Rust is caused by the oxidisation of iron, and iron is an important metal that we need in our bodies. Iron is usually bonded with other things in our bodies, which means they won’t rust – so while I don’t think the iron in our brains can get rusty, some people think that having too much iron in your brain can be dangerous – and could be linked to Alzheimer’s disease!
